Friends of Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-based non-profit contributing to Meals on Wheels Yolo County's fiscal viability by organizing and presenting annual fundraising events and serving as community ambassadors for our mission.

Net proceeds from all events are granted to Meals on Wheels Yolo County annually upon request, to provide targeted support and to fund extraordinary expenses. The annual events are described below.

In the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Friends of MOW literally is POWERING MOW Yolo, by covering budgeted utilities expenses.  Critical to meal preparation, utility rates have skyrocketed in recent months, while MOW Yolo simultaneously has increased kitchen capacity and related utility usage, as well.  THANK YOU, "Friends"!

EPICUREAN ESPRIT

A taste of Yolo County's finest wine and cuisine, this annual event typically is held on the third Thursday in May at a picturesque outdoor Yolo County venue. Learn more about, sponsor, and purchase tickets for the Thursday, May 16, 2024 event at this link.

DICKENS IN THE VALLEY HOLIDAY HOME TOUR

Usually held on the first Saturday in December, this annual tradition features docent-led tours and open houses at five local residences uniquely adorned for the holidays, featuring seasonal treats and experiences.  Tickets go sale approximately a month in advance and often sell-out!  Connect with more information at this link.
