“The Local Angle,” a concert benefiting local nonprofit Meals on Wheels Yolo County (MOW Yolo) by Davis-based musician and recording artist Dave Nachmanoff and The Usual Culprits on Saturday, January 24, 5:30 p.m., at the Winters Opera House, 13 Main Street, Winters. The “Passion For PAWS” pet food and supplies drive is ongoing across Yolo County through December 31, supporting local food insecure seniors and their furry companions, as part of Meals on Wheels Yolo County’s (MOW Yolo’s) ongoing MOW PAWS - Pets and Well Seniors program. A recent $150,000 investment by Sutter Health to both Meals on Wheels Yolo County (MOW Yolo) and Meals on Wheels Yuba and Sutter Counties (MOW Yuba/Sutter) is fortifying the future of senior nutrition in a multi-county region by simultaneously increasing the number of older adults nourished and the organizations’ sustained fiscal prowess to continue to serve them.
