Friends of Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-based non-profit contributing to Meals on Wheels Yolo County's fiscal viability by organizing and presenting annual fundraising events and serving as community ambassadors for our mission.

Net proceeds from all events are granted to Meals on Wheels Yolo County annually upon request, to provide targeted support and to fund extraordinary expenses. The annual events are described below.

Again in the 2025-2026 fiscal year, Friends of MOW literally is POWERING MOW Yolo, by offsetting budgeted utilities expenses. Critical to meal preparation, utility rates have skyrocketed over recent years, while MOW Yolo simultaneously has increased meal production capacity and related utility usage, as well. EPICUREAN ESPRIT

A taste of Yolo County's finest wine and cuisine, this annual event typically is held on the third Thursday in May at a picturesque outdoor Yolo County venue. The 2026 Epicurean Esprit will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Learn more about, sponsor, and purchase tickets at this link.

DICKENS IN THE VALLEY HOLIDAY HOME TOUR

Usually held on the first Saturday in December, this event features docent-led tours and open houses at local residences uniquely adorned for the holidays. Seasonal treats and experiences also are offered. Connect with more information at this link.
